How to place my new feather duster?

I just got a gorgeous dark plum colored feather duster. He's very healthy and not shy. My question is... how is it best to place him? I could bury his tube in the sand bed, or put him in a rock crevice/hole.

What's the best recommendation??

if you place him in a hole or crevice in your LR they will attach there tube to it. it makes for one bigg headache if you need to move him. they dont like it when you mess with there tube...if you tear a piece off...ect. there tube hold really well to whatever they attach it to. definitly what dragon said....sandbed

The things I have read (I have four and a kabillon little ones) say those who put them on or in rocks have a much shorter lifespan as to those who put them in sand. Also, some only will live in darkness like caves. I have one of those but might as well not. Never see it, but it has become quite healthy since I moved it to darkness. I check on it once in a while. It is the most beautiful one I have. I have been giving serious thought to collecting just feathers in an additioal tank I just bought. Of course, I bought the tank for isolation. The sickness is just overwelming to put more reef life into the tank. Was the thought of an isolation tank just an excuse? Am I really fooling myself into this new tank. Do I need help because my HOBBY has become a PASSION that has become an OBSESSION? HEEEEEEEELLLLLPPP!!!!!!! I don 't have money left for professional help. :zanny
