There is a small pink crab i have been trying to track in my NC 12. He came in in a piece of live rock i got when i bought a Xenia. It is hard to get a picture of him becuase he only is really out at night. I saw him today for the first time longer than a second. He has a light pink shell, a smooth body and has two little tny reddish eyes. He is about 3/4 of an inch long at the most and tends to chew on the spngy liverock i have in there and looks like he is enjoying making gravel. He is actually carving out quite the cave. Any ideas?
Also in my NC 24 i have recently noticed a rather larger browninsh crab who also hitched a ride in. He has never come out of the cave i see him in. He looks like a normal crab and doesnt seem to bother anyone. he is a little bigger more like and inch to an inch and a half long. I tought there were two but it was his shell from molting. I think it will be almost impossible to get a shot of him unless he actually comes out and poses for me. Any more ideas?

ps i should have put this in the id section. Sorry!

i would venture a guess and say that the second crab you described might be similar to an emrald crab. At my LFS they sel just as many tan to brown colored crabs as green in their "emrald crab tank", and my emrald crab is al least an inch and a half across...
... just a thought
