help with an aqua medic Nano Wave 9

Hi guys,

im new to nano as a currently have a 120G mixed reef. Its going well but i'm really keen to try a nano. im looking at the aqua medic Nano Wave 9. Its an all in one. does anyone have one? it has 48w PC lighting. what sort of lighting would i need for a 9gal tank? would 48w be enough for a mixed reef. Can i add some more Pc lighting into the hood of these tanks. i dont want to use a halide because of heat issues here in australia.

Not sure the dimensions of your tank but if you are not wanting to use MH then PC are about your only option. Depending on the length of the tank you might be able to squeeze some T5 over it but I doubt it. I would just increase the PC lights, probably double what you currently have. I run 96 watts over my 10g tank and I don't think I would even attempt a mixed reef. Get a good reflector, that will help some.
