You may try some cyclop-eeze , to get him to eat or some frozen brine shrimp to start him to eat. Brine shrimp is not nutritious but may help if he is picky if you do use brine shrimp (frozen) soak in selcon to give nutrition. If he was caught using cyanide then there wont be much hope for him . Cyclop-eze is found in the freezer case of the pet store it is very small so you wont need a lot just a small piece pin head size is enough
Others here may be able to offer up some more help . Hope this helps

How long have you had him? I have been hearing horror stories regarding clown gobies wasting away and never eating for several months. I am not sure if its the area they are collecting from or the method but there has been alot of bad reports on clown gobies. You may also try either garlic or an invert appetite stimulint, hopefully one of those will help. Good luck, Skip

When I first started into the hobby clown gobies, and citron gobies were all considered 'easy' fish. I had two yellow clown gobies, and they both ate like pigs from the beginning, were fearless, and had great personalities. When I moved I lost nearly all my fish, including the clown goby. When I started restocking it was on the top of my list, and over about 8 months I tried six of them. Different colors, different stores, made sure they ate in the store, etc... They all got in the tanks, and ate, and ate, but wasted away. The only thing I could think of was that they were being collected with cyanide, so they're digestive systems were wrecked even though they looked healthy, and ate.

Like the others have said, you can try soaking the food in garlic which will sometimes help get a finicky fish to eat, or try some live brine if one of your LFS sells it. This will often encourage a fish to eat if they're just stressed out, but otherwise healthy.

Good luck.

I always say this and I'm not sure of the reason, but clown gobies are very hard to keep IMO. Just like Incysor, all of mine have died as well.

So I got him to eat!! We'll see if he gets healthy. So I will share my experience. he seemed most active at night and spent most of his time on the high rock just under my moon light. I fed live fresh hatch brine just at lights out. The brine as long as the rest of the lights in the room are out congregate under the moonlight. He seems to gobble them up. They are so tiny it will take alot i'm guessing but he seems keen on the idea! LOL!
