I am new to this site, but have found it incredibly informative and helpful. I suppose that I should introduce myself. My name is Scott, and I live in Indianapolis, IN. I have had several freshwater systems, but have some saltwater experience. In college I assisted one of my professors by doing routine maintenance on several marine aquariums of many sizes (ranging from 2.5 gallons-50 gallons), and setup two 10 gallon aquariums for myself (one FOWLR and one with the bane of all reef aquarists: Odontodactylus scyllarus). Anyway, it has been a few years since these aquariums were disassembled, and I am wanting to setup a more advanced nano tank. I am looking for some good books to read and use as references while going through the process again. I have already read Chris Brightwell's The Nano-Reef Handbook, and am reading Saltwater Aquariums for Dummies for more general information especially about filtration options to be adapted to the nano tank. I am looking for suggestions for books about anemonefish/anemone care (the more in-depth the better), the best coral and/or invert care book, and a good book on seahorse selection and care (specifically dwarf seahorses). Thank you all for your help, this is a great resource that I wish I knew about earlier.
Also, does anyone have any reccommendations on a good either all-in-one tank (ie. NanoCube) or a fairly low-cost setup between 10 and 30 gallons? I know it's a big difference in volume, but I'd like to try to keep a host anemone, and maybe even several species in a tank with anemonefish. I've been looking at the CurrentUSA AquaPod 12 Gallon 70w HQI Aquarium. It has the SunPod fixture with white and blue lunar LEDs and 14,000K HQI metal halides. The filter is setup as a surface-skimming filter. I think I saw someone else post pictures of this same type of aquarium they were setting up.
