getting calupera off LR

so I took quite a bit of LR out of my tank because it was infested with calupera. I have it just sitting on my porch now. What would be the best way to get all of the calupera off the rock, so that the rock can be used again? obviously there's plucking it all off but that's damn near impossible to get it all off because of the porous rock and the algae having attatched itself into the crevices. any ideas? it's some pretty nice rock, I'd really like to use it again in the future
