here goes my first post thanx in advance for any help............
I have a 29 gal bio cube reef
I just paid good money for a Galaxia after it has been in my tank I have been told that the galaxia may kill everything in my tank because it has sweepers.... is this true and if so where do i unload this sucker which is absolutely beautiful???? :anxious

problem #2 my water tests perfect but 2 of my bubble corrals look like they are dying shrinking and turing green and brown from a pristine white color....... should i just let them stay in the tank or should i pull them out before they poison my tank?????

Thanx again for any help

Are they in close proximity to the galaxia? Do you have any pictures?

the green brown may actually be a healthy sign "pristine white" means bleached and without zoaxanthelaea, shrinking however may be bad or may just be an aclimation to your system (flow and light). if it is receading from the base that is def bad but do not remove it as any tissue left on this type of coral can regenerate to a new coral. if it is touching or sitting on rock move it to the sand the bubbles are easily irritated if constantly rubbing on rock as it goes though its daily cycle of inflation
as for the galaxy it def is a stinger but if housed properly and given its due space it can be a nice coral. do not place anything within 4-6 inches of it and watch - you should be fine.

I housed a nice 3" round galaxy in my 20 gal for about 2 yrs and it did fine. Just be smart with your placement and keep an eye on it. Yeah, like J&D said 6 inches or maybe a tad more would be good clearance.
