Furry blob...

I can't seem to get a good pic of this thing. But I'll post a pic anyway..I apologize for quality in advance. After starting this hobby..I can't seem to afford a decent camera :doh

It has fur or algae growing on it that seems 1/8 inch long. Possibly white center about the size of small marble or dime but is elliptical shaped.

I have been wanting to poke it but have refrained..been watching it grow for almost 2 weeks.

yeah really looks like a sponge of some kind but at the sametimes looks like algea cause of the pic.... but ill say more to sponge just like jennie mentioned.

Hard to tell because the photo is blurry but my guess is the same as the others...algae covered sponge.

I bought that algae book from Julian Sprung online earlier this week. I hope it will shed some light on how to get rid of some of the algae. All my paramaters look ok, something else causing it I guess. Hope the book is helpfull..

What kind of goby is that in your avatar? That is one beautiful fish!!!

A GREEN BANDED GOBY about like an 1 inch (mine is like 1 1/2 ") and really peaceful and cute.

If you keep a look out in your tank you are liable to see different color sponges/fanworms!
