I was just going through some pics and thought I'd post some up of my old NanoCube 12. I got the tank through a trade and kinda got a little crazy with it.
I ripped out the old wall and made a brand new one. The entire length was overflow. For the return I had a RIO1700 split into 2 and then those returns split again for a total of 4 returns. I cut a piece of black acrylic to make the bare bottom look a bit more clean and siliconed it down.
I used a dremel to cut two holes in the back panel to accomidate a couple iceprobe chillers. The two of those along with everything else was controlled with a ReefKeeper digital controller. There was also a battery powered air auto top off in the stand... you can see the float switch in the below pic
This pic shows a CPR skimmer which was eventually swapped out for a Remora.
For lighting I had an empty 30" pendant laying around that I cut down to length. I installed a 70watt 14k metal halide, 2 temp sensitive 3" fans, and a moonlight that simulated the real cycle of the moon. I hung it from the ceiling with a cable kit.
It was a fun project. I eventually got board with it and traded most of it away but I figured it could probably give someone some ideas as it was a pretty innovative little unit... well at least I think so
