I have never had a frogspawn before. Ive had a red one with green tips for about 1 week now. I have noticed that some of the green tips appear faded. I think there can be 3 reasons for this:
1. Not enough light.
2. Too much light
3. This is a new polyp forming and will develop a dark greeen tip.
Also, should the verticle red part of the polyp appear translucent?
I can see what appears to be a new polyp. its very small, about the size of the tip of a sharpie and growing on the base. There are 2 of these I can find. Is this how new polyps can form? I thought the existing polyps would split and form new polyps that way. Thgis coral is about 5 inches from a 96 watt quad with only 2 inches of water above it. Thanks for your advice.
