Frogspawn Placment

I recently purchased a piece of frogspawn from my LFS and I had a question about its placement in my tank. The coral resembles a tripod with the actual polyped portion coming off the top. Is it possible to bury the three "tripod" skeleton legs in the sand and keep this coral in the sand bed? Will it negatively affect the coral? I am running T5 lighting so I think it will get ample lighting regardless of its position.

Yes this is perfectly okay to do if there is suffcient PAR from your lights reaching down to the bottom of your tank. Just make sure that when the polyp is expanded to its fullest point that it will not be rubbing or chaffing up agaisnt rock work or other things and corals in the tank which may injure the corals tissue and set it up for a brown jelly infection.
