Fragging a Monti Cap...

Hey Reefers,

In an attempt to save my orange monti cap I decided to frag off the good pieces and reglue them with BSI super glue.

Here are the steps I took; what do you guys think?

Damn nice job my friend. It would be really cool to take a picture, once a week, from the exact same angle to document its growth/recovery.

I think it will end up doing just fine. Dremels are a very important tool in reefing. I use mine more and more.

Dragon,

It went bad because I transferred it from too many tanks and dropped it a couple times in the tank but still, that doesnt' help it.

This coral took so much abuse I cannot believe those parts are even alive... I hope to see a quick recovery, and I'll document it's progess.

Sadie,

The monti was driven down 6 hours from SF bay area to Orange County Anaheim and is now in Dragons prize 6 gallon tank...

You will have to ask him to give us a picture of it's growth; he had told me that it's really doing well with polyp extensions...

nah, too lazy, no pics for you sadie.

J/K! Actually the 3rd piece mike attached, he brought back damaged to me, so the left and middle piece are fine. I'll see about taking a pic soon, but it's been busy lately, and also I got a stupid cold (sneezes) (blows nose)
