Does anyone know a formula to caculate how many gallons your tank is based on the tanks dimensons because I am thinking about building a tank it will be 20'x20"x20" cube and I was wondering how I would figure that out thanks

If you know the volume in cubic feet you can also figure the volume, there is 7.48 gallons in a cubic foot.

lol thank you all and yeah I guess 20" does seem pretty high with out investing in really expensive lighting so I think I will go with 16 instead thanks all

Just remember to take into consideration that you should measure the INSIDE of the tank, otherwise you will get a number that is a couple gallons off. Not too serious but if you are medicating a tank you will definitely want to know how much water is really in your tank, not how much glass and water you have in your tank. JMO
