O.K. -- If I understand what you folks are saying, it is alright to leave the lights off in my tank as long as LR is all that is in it. I am still waiting for it to begin its cycle process. I was thinking about adding some more LR today throw a Hermit or two in to speed up the process.

Don't need to add hermit. If you feel you must put something in to help, a small pinch of flake food will help. Poor hermit might not make it when the ammonia spikes.

I cycled my tank using a domestic edible food prawn. . .

Well the live rock it self has alot of dead organism that will help you with the cycle just let it be or alittle of any food will be fine just to create some amonia.... and light will only create bad algae bloom.... just be patient and 3-4 weeks and you will start with cleaning crew and so on your favorite criters.
