Flower anoeme (or how ever its spelt :) )

I just got a flower anoeme and the LFS wasnt much help I dont know if its something thats supose to be placed on the rock like a coral or if you just drop it in and if it finds its own home? and what do you feed them? I have heard shrimp but what kind or is there something else? thanks

They prefer meaty foods like shrimp, brine, mysis etc. If it was unattached when you bought it, then place it in a corner and it'll find a spot that its comfortable in. I've got 2 and one of them decided that it wanted to be on the other side of the rock so it just inched its way over. When you see them on the move like most anemones, clear the path for them :)

If I am correct, these anemones prefer to bury their foot in the sand. They are carnivores that will feed on silversides, raw shrimp (like tiger shrimp), mussels, etc. Moderate light, moderate flow. What color is yours?

ok great info but a anemone in a nano tank i dont think so they dont do well in it... and they might sting other corals... dont you think guys.

THis particular species is smaller than most...i think they wont get any bigger that maybe 5"-6"(?). Generally anemones arent good choices form nano thoug...your right eddie.
