Anyone know how to get around this message when trying to access a floppy disk?

"A:\ is not accessible. No ID Address mark was found on the floppy disk."

I REALLY need to get into this disk! Can anyone help?

according to hubby an IT director it is not recoverable to his knowledge  sorry he is looking into seeing if there is way to recover it , he does recommend taking it to a totally diffrent machine to be sure it is the disk and not the computer itself ,

We had to reinstall our operating system, and this particular disk is my backup for my taxes. I checked the disk before the reinstall and all was good, but won't be able to check on another machine until in the morning. Tell him I said Thanks Sadie!

Well as it turns out Sadies husband was right, it was the drive itself. We were able to plug the old system up, open the disk and transfer using my digital camera (I know its redneck, but it worked!). From there it was an easy transfer to the new system and all the information is in it's proper stop. Thanks for all the help!

doh, sorry to have missed this! I do have advice. buy a pocket drive, they are freakin' sweet. You can drop them, kick them, throw them out a window, and your data is still there. (not that I've tried those things, but I'm stressin' that if you have important data files, you can't go wrong with a pocket drive) 1 GB drive should suffice, and it'll connect right onto your keychain :)
