Help! My blue/green damsel managed to find his way in to the right rear chamber of my Nanocube 12 DX. :eek:pps

It's pretty cramped in there, but he's still alive. Any suggestions??

Thanks,
Karen

I had my candy hog make his way into a rear chamber of my 24G Aquapod. I was able to save him with a net. At first he "fell" into the live rock and was swimming very slowly and almost drunk like (for a fish).

After an hour or two he was back to zipping around and eating. He had been back there for about two days or so.

Not sure how small the 12G backs are, but I can imagine it'll be a tough rescue.

Pretty small and a lot of mechanical stuff back there. My net won't fit.

I was thinking of trying to suction him out with a turkey baster....and I'm only half kidding.

Lmao suck the sucker lol lol too cruel ... anyways i had that problem with my firefish too he kept comming on pump area like e times but well my fish kinda used to my hand to be on tank so i just reach him took him out with my hand and bualahh i bet you cant do that but well i had a stoborn clown once that didnt want to be rescue so what i did is take the water from the chamber and gonna be a lever were only the chamber will get empy so leave enough water to him to splash almost empty carfully of not sucking him like erick sad (not a bad idea though) and then carefully put your finger close and he will try to jump and will land in your fingers and then put him back... well HTH thats what i did!!

I bought a net small enough to fit the rear chambers of the nanocubes, I had to use it several times to remove a couple of my fish that kept "going over the wall".

Well....he's still there. Last night after work I couldn't find anything at home that would work. I had to work again this morning, but checked him and he's still looking good hanging out back there!

I will stop at the local bait store on my way home to see if they have a small enough net! Otherwise I will have to make a half hour trek to F&S to get one from them.

I'll keep you posted.

Success!

I couldn't locate a small enough net, so I fashioned one out of pantihose and wire. :strip

My BF and I spent a half hour trying to get that little booger and when I finally caught him I swear he jumped into the net just to end it all!

After 3 days stuck back there he is no worse for the wear and acting as if nothing happened.

Thanks for your suggestions!

It's the least I could do since I bought the poor little booger "just to see" if I could keep a salty without killing it. I'm sooooo baaaaad.... He is a really neat little fish and was definitely worth saving.
