Fish eating every snail

Hi. I have a biocube 14 that has be up for about 7 weeks. I added my first fish a Valentini(Saddleback Toby). My LFS said he would be fine in there. The fish is awesome, but he eats every snail that I put in there. He lets the hermits alone. What can I use instead of snails to control algae? Also what other fish can I add without him attacking a new one?

Tobies aren't generally safe with hermits, either, so... Glad you've been okay so far.

Some of the blennies will be your next best bet. Lawnmower by name, but for me, uh... Sorry. I can't remember the one I like better atm.

Many fish won't do well there either, but with the blennies at the bottom (usually) of the tank, you should be okay. As always, ymmv.
