Finalised Tank Plans, I Hope

Hi guys,

Have finalised my tank plans!!! i hope... Would appreciate any advice or comments on the design. Sorry for the bad depictions and explainations.

The main tank will be a 350mm cube. This, however, will have a 50x50mm piece cut out from the back glass on the right. This will form the overflow into the "hang on" sump.

The sump will comprise a 100mm wide, by 350 high by 350 long cuboid. This will be split (equally) into three sections. This will be done by securing glass dividers, the one closer to the overflow with a 100mm gap at the bottom, while the second with the gap at the top.

This means water will flow, via the overflow, into zone 1, under the divider into zone two, and over the divider into zone 3; before being pumped back into the tank.

Zone 1 will contain a DIY skimmer  consisting a plastic tube with a 1080/1400lph pump. (approx 240/310gph) and a limewood air diffuser

Zone 2 will be my fuge  which will house some caulerpa taxifolia and maybe LR rubble. This serves a main purpose of getting rid of bubbles from the skimmer.

Zone 3 will be the chemical filtration unit. This will contain mainly denitrate (we cant get chemipure here). And maybe phosphate sponge. Finally, there will be a pump at the bottom of this to pump water back to the main tank.

As yet unsure where to put the heater, but i think it will go where the caulerpa goes. Hopefully the fuge can get me some good pod growth.

Anyway, any thoughts and comments? This is the first time im designing something, so please blast me for missing all the stuff i did.

Below are two microsoft paint sketches i did of the design, should be easy enough to understand. Again, if there are any queries etc, just ask

This is the front view of the front compartment of the tank.

And this is the front view of the rear (sump) compartments

My proposed lighting consists 2 or 3 of whats known as here as "AA4760 Aquarium Light + Tube" (see http://www.aquariumproducts.com.au/prod801.htm for details)
I intend to either just use the ballast and light to DIY a hood, or just use the given hood. Not sure yet. Btw, the light is a 24w PC tube. Am trying to see if i can get 50/50 tubes instead but yet unfinalised.

2 sets of the lights would give 48 over 10.8gallons (including the sump) while a third light would make it 72w. I think that should be okay, besides, am thinking of keeping mainly softies and LPS. Will try out one or two SPS though, will the 48w be enough? If i go to sydney (which i hope i do :D ; i will check out if they have any clams. But do you guys think 48w is enough for a clam?

Finally, anything else i can add to my fuge other than some LR rubble, and some macroalgae?

Thanks in advance for all replies.
