Feather Duster

Just bought a Feather Duster yesterday, Was wondering how long it takes for them to come out? Do they have to be put in the sandbed? Or can you wedge them in a rock?

they will attach to the rock if you place them there... i think they doo fine in th esand bed too. I would give them half a day or so to come out.
