Hey everybody!

I tell you Eddie, Sandra, and I had a blast at Huntington Beach Dog beach. This was Eddie's first time out and first time off leash (at times) Although it was dog heaven there, I kept fearing I'd lose him. He did run off at times and far too, but he'd end up running like no other and end up back with us. At any rate, he had tons of fun, and we ended up meeting a family that had two rat terriers. A female (25lbs) that still had her tail, and a male that weighed around (15lbs) This has been Eddie's first encounter with a dog of his own kind, and I have to say, he felt as if he knew them. He had lots of fun playing with them. Anyway, let me share some pics! :)

Here's Eddie, fitting in with perhaps "cousins" lol

Here's a pic of the Ocean with me and Eddie. (this was the closest I got Eddie to the water) He got splashed once and didn't dare go back, lol

Let me show you some of the other dogs we saw there... (have them linked with putfile, so just click the links...)

here's that male rattie ( i told the family that owns the two ratties about ratlover.net, so perhaps they may join and share pics of their own)

And lastly here's a shot showing how many dogs there were (this was just in the morning, by afternoon, even more families and more dogs showed up)

Ed,

You'd be surprised. I saw those type of dogs out there. Apparently the owners didn't care, lol. I know what you mean though, a lot of maintenance on your end, but at least the dogs have fun, you know?

oh man, that sucks. You know who the pro groomer is for our little Eddie?

me, myself, and I, lol!

My brother has a maltese, and he has long long hair. He would let him run around with my dog, getting all muddy and gross, then he'd take him, bathe him, and then dry him, and then brush him and blow dry him clean. Took a while, but he got him back to being fluffy and white.

I am glad I have a short hair pup :)

i brought him out once, and when he got wet, he felt how cold that water was, and stayed clear from it the rest of the day.

I've been out to the dog beaches in San Diego and it's really interesting to watch how they form packs and run around. It's also hilarious to watch a dog get rolled by a big wave and come out snorting water and looking over it's shoulder thinking "What the hell just happened to me?"
