So if I wanted to setup a tank about 5 gallons and was not a DIY kinda guy and money was no object what would be the dream tank setup to hold say 1 or 2 clowns ?

I hear AD Amano do some cool stuff but dont know if the are the best ?

Hello~ Welcome! If you are looking for a brand of all-in-one nano, I'm not really sure which is "better" really... I have a JBJ, which I'm pleased with. I did have a lighting upgrade installed with better fans. Perhaps if you go to www.nanotuners.com you will find one of their tanks (upgrades already installed) appealing?! Good luck! :)

:welcome to Nanotank.com! 5 Gallons for two clown fish is a bit too cramped. Actually I wouldn't even put 1 clown fish in a 5 gallon for long term. Clown gobies and other smaller fish may do OK in that small of an area. There are quite a few choices out there and there is no one size fits all. Find out which corals and exactly which fish you want and then finding the tank that suits there care needs will be easier.

Clown gobies are one of my faves. Unfortunately, my cat kept catching them... however, they're on my future short list.

How does your cat manage to get your fish? lol Can you put a lid on your tank?

not one that she can't remove. She's got skills.

Her fish death count is 7, though one she just startled till it jumped out.

thank goodness y'all clarified that. I was like..."cat"???...and googling cat fish, cat inverts, and cat corals. I was like...what the heck is that, I better watch out for any livestock with "cat" in it! lol

I sorry but I find this funny. Maybe you should octopus prof the tank so your cat can't get in.
i did one better. my new 20L setup is on a highboy dresser with only a few inches of ledge on each side and 4 feet off the ground. of course i have to get my stepladder to work in the tank, but the cat cant get fish and im replacing my clown goby and neon goby soon.

LOL yes we did...

Zak did you find a tank you liked? The JBJ pico-top is nice. A couple places sell fully modded JBJ 6 gallons. Then you can get a AGA 5 gallon and get some LED lights.
