DIY Sump for a JBJ 28Gal HQI

So I purchased a new 28Gal Cube and was wondering if anyone had tried to drill the back panel of the filter box for an overflow into a sump below it? I've got an idea for it in my head, just didn't know if it would work or if it had already been tried. I'm open to any suggestions.

thanks

If you contact the manufacturer and ask if the glass is normal float glass, you will be fine to drill.

If you want to buy the bits, there is a person on ebay that sells them for like $6.

I used them and was really impressed.

that would be easy then.

Sorry just read your first post again, didn't realise you only wanted to drill thought the filter box

Are you thinking about a sump underneath?ie another tank

I just recently got that tank. I just checked it out and it looks like a glass back to me. Send out an email and double check through the manufacturer. I don't *THINK* it would be tempered, but hey I didn't build it.
