My LFS can get whats known in the trade as brown clowns. These come in ranging from a honey to a darker brown colour, with two white bands and the occasional small one has a teardrop indent just before the tail. In lighter coloured specimens, the fins and tail are an orangy yellow while those on darker ones are a dark brown graduating to yellow at the tips.
So, are they akindynos or clarkiis? Those are the only two possibilities cos both are the only two species which are confusable and from teh geographic location theyre imported from. They seem to be from eastern australia including the GBR.
Any distinguishing charateristics between the two species?
