Ok well i just completed transfer to my new tank and everything went smoothly, except for a problem with my diamond goby. I hadn't seen him for a few days before the move, and i think i've sussed why, he has a serious lack of tail finnage, i.e. no tail. So basically anyone got any suggestions.... He doesn't seem to great tbh, think i'm gonna loose him :(

IM sorry  i was checking and BROSE is the one with pseudochromis...oops how big is the tank were they were kept cause firefish cant be the one maybe the Clown i know they are peaceful but when there is lack of space they tend to intimidate other criters... well in this case i dont know what to tell you than give it time and hes tail will get better but if you moving stuff to a bigger tank it will be really helpful so the clown stops being a madfish ...

sorry but IMO the diamond watchman is a very bad choice for a nano - they need a LOT of sand bed to filter through to meet their needs for food - this fish is probably stressed by its environmental conditions - not a victim of foul play by other fish or critter... needs a bigger tank! even a 30 with a DSB will not be enough for long term health of any of the sleepers

Yuh i've realised that now, i'm hoping i can keep him alive and then trade him in, but things aren't looking great. It was initially in a 10Gal and now a 30Gal... And my clown has this thing with top corners :s

if you want a bottom dweller for a 30 the yellow headed watchman can't be beat! hardier then most bottom dwellers and will generally take prepared foods. you may not see much of it though some tend to be rather secretive but this isn't a bad thing, it just means its happy and fells secure in its home.

Well as expected the goby was dead the next day, just hoping it hasn't contaminated new tank with ammonia...

I was looking into new gobies to get and my LFS has got a Yashia and Pistol pair which is soooooo tempting but pricey as well, i was also looking at some of the smaller species as i'm not a particular fan of the YW goby
