Dead Tank?

Well, I've been reading lots on this forum as well as getting some great help from the membership.
Many posts speak of getting a tank, starting a cycle with LS and LS and very quikly seeing all sorts of life popping up in their tanks.

My tank has been cycling since april 17, and I have yet to even see algae. I've had some blue crud, and some green crud growing on some of my rocks which I scraped off, but no pods, worms, diatoms, or anything. I swear my tank is devoid of life. Ive got a 24 NC, some 40 lbs of Live/base rock, 20 lbs of sand which is still sparkling clean.

SG-1.023
PH- 8.2
temp-80.5
Amonia-0.3mg (dropping)
Nitrate- >110mg (but dropping)
Nitrite -. 2.0 mg (just got the test so first reading for this.)

IS this normal or is there something I am missing? With My Nitrate dropping I would think that my cycle is in the final stages.

Any advice would be appreciated

It is quite possible to not see the life of pods, I am sure they are in there,as for the algae consider your self fortunate to not have to deal with the algea out breaks, with out pics it is hard to say what the blue/green is it could be algea or sponge ....
it looks like you are right on in the cycling
Ammonia will rise
Ammonia will fall you want this to be 0
NitrIte will rise
NitrIte will fall you want this to be 0
NitrAte will rise
NitrAte will decrease you want this to be as low as possible less than 20 and this can be controlled with water changes
Ph you are WNL
temp bit high try a fan to see if that pulls it down a bit you want to avoid swings of greater that 2-4 degrees in a 24 hour period

Sadie covered it well. When you bought your LR, was there lots of colorful coraline algae and plant matter or was it dead and white looking? Sometimes, places will sell their rock as live, when in reality there is not much living on it at all. However, even the dry base rock that you can purchase will eventually take on all sorts of life... it just takes time.
