Dallas World Aquarium Pics Pt. 1 - Image Intensive!

Hey guys - I had the chance to check out the Dallas World Aquarium last weekend and I was very impressed, to say the least. I guess I was surprised because I've never heard anyone really mention it before. You basically entered at a rainforest-canopy level and just worked you way down. There were lots of sloths, monkeys, birds, etc. The bottom level contained all the tanks. I was pleasantly surprised by what I saw and I feel it was a great value for $16/adult. Here are a few photos.

My wife was there a few weeks ago. She said it was good, but that she was surprised how little 'aquarium' was at the aquarium. She said it was predominately rainforesst exhibits, with lots of other animals. She was expecting a little of that stuff, but mostly aquarium stuff, and she thought it was the other way around. But she said it was pretty cool nonetheless.

Yeah, she is right. The reef section was pretty sad really. It was bare and the NEMO tank was algae ridden. I guess they don't read up about this stuff.

Mind if I post my pics here or should I do a new thread?

Yeah, a lot of it is rainforest but there was a decent amount of aquarium stuff as well. I actually liked the rainforest part. It was really well done. I guess that is biased as I'm in love with Central America.

Believe it or not, but there were more aquariums there than at the almighty Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. That place sucks.
