Cycleing a nano tank

Hello everyone, i have a 8g nano tank that has been cycleing for 1 month. i here a lot of different advice on how long to cycle, i want to get my tank perfect before i add anything. How long should i cycle before adding anything? And how many invert. should i add before fish?

When you have no ammonia and no nitrites you are near the end of your cycle. When you get there do a pretty big water change to drop the nitrates and you can start with a clean up crew. Normally a break out of diatoms is associated with the end of a cycle.
