Current usa 20" orbit 80w reef aquarium strip light. just wondering if any one has herd bad/good things with this light setup. I plan on buying one for my 10 gal nano, Because I only have about 20w system on my tank. not that good. the price is around 110 and 10 for shipping, so it is alitle harsh for some one in school, but I will always strive for a better tank.

well i dont know much about the light but i have the Current usa 20" orbit 40w over my 10gal and i like the job it is doing so i would imagine the 80w would be great

i have the coralife 96w over my 15tall now, and im switching to the 80w for only one reason.........seperate control of the bulbs........oh yeah and im getting another 40w retro kit to add to it

you should be ok with that light but why pay that much when you can get better for less and more options down the road for corals  Just my humble opinion

I had the 2x40 watt current satellite...you cant beat it for the price...separate control of the bulbs as well as a built in moonlight. I tore it apart and installed in along with aMH fixture in a custom canopy.

I actually just got mine in today. I seem to have a bad actinic bulb however. Dr. Fosters and Smith is sending me a new one free of charge. Just to be sure, both parts of the actinic bulb should be visible when powered on right?

Yes, the entire light should light up. On 50/50 bulbs sometimes its hard to see both sides lit because one side is so dominating.
