Curing live rock

Hey i was just wondering if i am setting up a tank and put some cure live rock in and the rest just normal rock like aragonite would it cure? and would it cure fast? or can i just put aragonite in water and let it cure? sorry completely new to marine aquarium have kept f/w for years but that doesn't require live rock thanks

Put cured live rock into the tank with base rock (normal rock) and the beneficial bacteria will spread. As for how fast, every tank is different.by cure, do you mean cycle?
