ok I was navigated away from a nano cube (which is fine by me!) JohnandDawn suggested a 20 gal ( I am assuming the tanks themselves are rather cheap to buy?) Anyway, How do I go about lighting...do I have to buy a cover like the black plastic things or an all glass one and set my lighting on top like my little freshwater tank or there any other options? I can build about anything as long as I have some instructions. And we are driving to Indianapolis to go to Premium Aquatics next Friday So I would like to know before going down there.

Thanks Everyone

IMO i would just buy a 24" fixture preferably 130watter. coralife, sunpaq, there are some others. it would be a the easiest solution. HTH

i agree 130 watts is perfect, and yea the 20g wont be that much, infact it will most likely be the cheapest part about your reef

this is what your looking for but of course there are other brands and other options as well - thats the beauty of doing it this way and not buying a JBJ or some other "all in one" tank

this is a real nice light basically plug and play and will allow you to keep many diferent types of corals
