Hey Reefers,

I'm about the take the plunge this weekend on this tank. I have decided to retire the 3.5 tru vu tank. All it's contents live rock + critters are going to go into the new tank.

I'm ordering the one that has the black canopy and 36 watts total power. Best price my LFS is giving is $260 and my other LFS wanted $279.

Incysor or anyone, do you think you can find it cheaper on the internet? If so throw me a post.

Here is the link:

Mike you ought to change your post name to mr. extreme. You do so many changes in like less than a week. You need to go with one and put your time into it, I wouldn't have taken down the 3.5, cuz it just sounds, you'll keep changing tanks, and you are wasting a lot of money, (which you could be sending over here (J/K) or out to MOM (seriously), who actually could use our help. $260 can go elsewhere) I'm taking a bit of relax time here to enjoy what Sandra and I have, and maintain and continue to read, interact, and learn. More importantly I'm trying to study for my Network + and work my ass off to get ahead of some of these bills. Anyway, sorry to kill your topic, but somebody had to say it, but who better than your loving brother 8)

I'll take your positive criticism, but I sold my 3.5 to my co-worker who just wants guppies for his daughter. I sold the tank and filter for $40.00 and light.

So I keep all the inside and transfer it over to my new tank. So I'm not actually starting new at all.

Regarding mom, my ENTIRE tax return check is going to her in two weeks thats $5,400. So the $260 is for me :) I will owe mom just 600 bucks... :)

It's an early B-day gift...

You can do it a little at a time, I figure by the time you get your income tax check, you wouldn't have to front all that cash because you've made monthly payments. She's been griping over cash now, so I figure how much will she gripe by April when tax money comes in? I dont owe mom anything, but I'll try and give a lil something like 50 or 100 next month...as of now I'm more broke now....damn student loans threw me into the negative balance, it sucks! I need to be making double my salary to match you big bro....would be nice. Then I may get the 6 gallon JBJ cube that's already been buzzing around over at reef central. I saw your 6 gallon generic and it looks cool, all built in like the JBJ, but I have a feeling JBJ will have better lighting.

Excellent choice. When I was up at the reef store this past week, they had one of those CPR's set up on the counter. Awesome little tank and the lighting is great on it.
