I'm interested in getting a 6 gallon Nano Cube - but this guy has me considering a 12 gallon cube . . . :roll:

Could I keep a psychedelic mandarinfish (2.9" fish) in a 12 gallon tank?

Nadia there is a guidline in what fish are reef ready and which are not. The madarin goby will die in 2 months in that size tank. They have a special diet that requires lots of live rock to produce this diet, hence nanos will not work.

Get yourself a small goby instead, maybe a coral banded goby to name one or how about a bi-color blenny, lots of personality and they have a face of a parrot.

Agreed. Any of the mandarins aren't going to survive for long in a nano. They feed on pods and need a large, well established tank to support their diet.
