Cotton Ball Critter......???

I spotted this about two weeks ago. I didnt think anything of it until today there are now two and the original cotton thing I saw did increase in size though still is very tiny. It seems to have a mouth? Anus? Interesting thing actually.

Its that white cotton thing in the middle. I hope its clear enough.

kind of looks like a sponge....i have a bunch of them in my tank. not really sure though, i could be wrong.

Yup, a scypha sponge.

I first noticed a ton of them after I starting feeding with DTs phytoplankton. Apparently, they love the stuff.

Hmmm....come to think of it, this thing did show up a few weeks after I started feeding my tank DT's. Since DT's are part of the topic now, how big a dose should I be dosing my 12DX....I asked my LFS and apparently aside from what is stated on the label, they told me that if I see algae beggining to grow, then that means i'm adding too much...I dont think I would want to experiment and wait for algae to grow in order to see if i'm adding too much. So for now i'm only adding 1ml. every 2 days. And I do this just before the lights go off. But I am open for suggestions as I would want to do this properly. Thanks DJ and Drty811.
