Coral in a Bucket??

Ok - I'm in the process of setting up a 12gallon DX Nano Cube. But while I'm waiting to cycle the liverock and such I'm stumbled across some amazing coral.

Is it possible to keep some soft coral/zooz/LPS in a bucket for a couple of weeks? Or is that just insane? :confused3:

Thanks!

I would not I would ask the lfs if they would keep it if you pay for it but keeping it in a bucket would not be the best option imo

Most LFS will hold pieces for a customer, especially if you pay for them up front. If they won't, you could try keeping them in a bucket with water from the shop, but you'll have to find a way to put lights over the bucket for the time that you're keeping them in there. I'd also do a 10-15% water change twice a week, and feed as sparingly as you can, since you won't have a way to filter it.

I kept some LR and a few softies in a bucket for about 10 days once. Everything made it. I'd definitely put a small set of lights over it along with a powerhead if you can.

I didn't end up putting coral in the bucket - only some LR. So far the LR seems to have made it . . . I put in an air pump to help.
