Did you get it from Village? I saw a piece there on Saturday that looked very similar. Andy from Fish Land has some similar looking stuff in one of his tanks, and said it's some kind of macro-algea, but typical of Andy, couldn't tell me the name or anything else about it. 
In a year and a half I've never seen anything that looked like it listed on any online vendor pages under corals, so I figure he's probably right. I'd try posting over on RC and see what they have to say about it.

Here is what I have managed to find out.
They resemble Isaurus sp. Commonly called Snake Polyps, actually a type of Zoanthid. The polyps usually only extend at night. They are also a rare find. People are paying $30-$60 for a single polyp. The rock I have has about 15-20 polyps and more growing. If it is this species, I guess I got a bargain for $5 for the colony.
