Does anyone have any ideas on controlling temperatures in a nano tank. mine will generally be at 76 to start the day and over 80 at the end. I hear it can be very stressfull on the corals?

Just so you know my target temp is 81-82°F. Although during the summer it stays between 80-84ish°F. Large temperature swings can be stressful but I wouldn't worry too much if they are self-propagating. If you want to bring your temp down you can install a fan in the hood. I have put together a nice DIY on wiring a fan with speed control. It drops my tank temp 2-4°F depending.

EDIT: Be sure that your tank doesn't get above 86°F (30°C) for very long. Temperatures above that can cause your coral to loose its vital zooxanthellae and it will either bleach or melt away, causing more issues in the tank.
