Im starting a nano tank in the near future and before i start i have been doing lots and lots of research. i have now found a tank which is 28g. I have found lots of information on the web which can be really confusing. i think i have been thinking of the following fish species and would appriciate any info on them living together and which inverts to keep with them. I will be producing my own live foods as i do this already for my tropicals.
Blennies
Gobies
Dragonettes
I will only be keeping 3 possibly 4 fish in this tank.
Thanks for any advise

Normally dragonettes are not so suited for nanos since they normally feed solely on live critters from live rock and live sand. So much so that most dragonettes will starve (slowly mind you) over the course of a couple months. My dragonette feeds on mysis, but still needs my live rock for pods. So if you really want to make sure your tank always has pods go for it, but as soon as you stop adding pods take the dragonettes out. They really do just eat all day long and will deplete your display tank in a couple days. And I have a 90 gallon DT and a 55gallon sump and I'm worried about adding a second dragonette. Gobies and blenies are ideal for nanos in my opinion but they tend to not like fish of their own body styles. My fire fish and my mandarin get along wonderfully. Just my 2 cents :D

Isn't like 100 pounds of LR is needed to produce enough pods to support one dragonette? Some have done it in a nano but it takes a lot of work and money to do so.

Yep, and I do have over 100 pounds. That is why I stated they are not suited. krustylloyd stated that they would add pods. If you add pods a couple times a week the food supply should be ok, but as soon as you stop the dragonettes will slowly starve.

If the dragonettes eat mysis then you should be able to have them in a smaller tank. But do not be fooled, even if a dragonette eats mysis they still need pods.
