Clowns finally decided to host anenome, questions

My pair of Ocellaris clowns finally decided to host my green bubble trip anenome. Its been in the tank about 2 months. Just outta the blue, because they had been avoiding it. YAY!!

Anyways, I have a question about anenomes. Is it normally for them to shrink down to nothing for a bit and then get big again? My anenome does this every few days, and was wondering if it needs something or is unahppy?

They will do this however mine doesn't do it that often. Have you been feeding it? They love meaty food. Silver sides or mysis shrimp. Try feeding it every 3 days and see how it responds.

That's great that they hosted it. It's a lot of fun to watch. becareful with your hands in the tank from now on. They're likely to get very protective and defensive of their new home.

You can try giving her small gold fish or any small fish directly to her mouth, She will shrink but is normal, she`s just covering her food with her mouth :mrgreen:
