Hey guys

So i had a friend build a custom tank for me and its coming over tomarrow!
I cant WAIT!!

He sent me some pics of it, and they are awesome
I must say this guy is very good with the work and looks professional!

He made me the 20 Gallon Long with ATO and Fuge :D

And this baby is going top be lit by 2x24w t5's and right now, a 150w 20k mh (it will be a 250w halide in a month)

I actually did the same thing! I got my 20L drilled and all set up, then realized the stupid sticker was on there!

Hey Guys, sorry been crazy busy
and life isnt going as planned...stupid college....

Anyways, update on the tank

Everything is running, got the frags and whatnot in there....

Bad news....
Explosion of hair algae and cyano :(

Im trying to get these under control before i embarass myself with pics :p

(does anyone know how to get rid of hair algae?)

Im already running a fuge and just did a waterchange and added a phosphate remover today =/

I would manually remove as much of the HA as you can. Have you tested for PO4? I think it should clear up with time.

Alright, update on the tank

Time to get flamed!

So my gf persueded me to get a coral beauty, a yellow sailfin tang and a Lunare Wrasse for the tank....
Although i love these fish, they are healthy and overall great, although most people would say they need more room....

the tank itself looks decent i guess, just need to clean the glass every other day, i need to find somewhere to buy snails for cheap

The prop part is going well, the zoas look great, i will have a frag pack of exotics avaliable soon :D

I am on the look for corals too :) namely what my gf likes....xenia and Hammers

Pics coming within the next hour!

So my tank has been up and running for about 2 months

Specs:

150w 20k MH
2x24w t5 Actinic
3 Powerheads ( 2 mj 900, 1 1200)
Custom fuge, Custom overflows

Fish:
Lunare Wrasse
Yellow Tang
Coral Beauty
( I know i know...bad stocking...but they are happy so far and very peaceful, and my gf made me! i swear!)

What happened to the eggcrate shelves? I was going to copy yours.

And what the heck were you thinking getting those three fish for your tank?? The coral beauty *maybe*, but a lunare wrasse and a tang? Is it a sailfin or a yellow tang? :evil: lol
