Boxing Crab

Hi Guys,

I am thinking of getting a Boxing Crab. My LFS just got a few in. Do you guys think this guy would do well in my 2.5G Nano tank? Would he cause problems with my corals?

I dont think so .... why? im sorry to say this but for a unknow reason they are not hardy and die....why? i dont know but if you check on one of dragon79 forums he mentioned that his died and guess what i put one too 2 days before a anemone crab and first the boxing crab or known like pom pom crab lost one of his miny anemoneas then he pic up on a lose zoo that he find week later so him for the first time without his anemoneas then i havent seen him since that day and has been like a month or more since i got him so i asume that he is dead and the anemone crab still kicking and molting every 2 weeks :lol: so save your money cause he will die... try a sexy's shrimp they are cuter and :lol: to look at....

these 2 do better than the boxing crab and also he hides too much so you wont see him as much as these other 2 small invertebrates.

uuuups i was reading your other post sorry about the loss poor porcelain anemony crab is true crabs tend to be alittle slow try shrimp they are fast...

Thanks for recommendation ED but,

They never have sexy's at any of the LSF in town. I guess I will have to go with something ells. Maybe a cleaner shrimp.

if they dont get it try to let your LSF that you want one and hopefully they will get some and here in ca we get ones in a while too and cleaner im not sure they get big and will not be too much space for him in your nano but lets see what everyone says..

i never had a problem with my pom poms, i have had them for over a year. htey went through two moves , three or four tanks, and now there are in my buddies 75. a rare glimps is all i need, love those things.

i know tell me about... i had never order nothing online well live thing its safe and ill have 100% guaranteed that they will arrive live erick... and how many can i put in my 12g i have right know a fire,cleaner and 1 sexy but ill love to have more sexy's..... sexy's everywere :lol3: .... and also thats a great price for the sexy's cause i got mine for $12 and other that died for $9... ill tink really hard on getting sexy's from liveaquaria.com when they get on sale again....do you hardly recomend them....??

i have ordered a bunch of stuff from liveaquaria.com and definitly recemmend them. all my stuff came in the next day, warm and thriving.

as for the addition of more sexies????????????not sure on how many more you can put in your tank, you might be able to put a couple more in, IMO i would get rid of something first.
thats usually what i do when i see something i want and dont have the room :mrgreen:

Ed maybe you could sneak a 2.5 in set it under the 12 and say it is a sump it is required for the health of the tank or if they don't buy that
