blue velvet damsels

(They are solid black with a couple of neon blue stripes going from head to tail)

My LFS said they were aggressive.

Anyone have these & are they?

Not only will they become aggressive, but turn into ugly brown adults, too.

If you have to do something resembling a damsel, try chromises instead. Still not ideal for the nano tank, but will certainly be better than damsels.

Even better will be the cardinals. Their drawback is that the tend to be skittish and/or reclusive, and with no ditherfish in most nanos, that may not give you the activity you want from a damsel.

As always, YMMV. Each individual is different.

I totally agree. It's also a real pain to catch the little suckers once you realize you don't want them in there anymore.

My serpentine star finally got my damsel one night. Best meal of his life! I was happy for him. :lol:
