Black algae?

Ok, I had by tank setup for about a week using ro/di water. I noticed underneath the return pump in the sump that when i pick it up there's a black type of algae that attaches itself to the pump and underneath near the suction cups. I dont have any pics but i'm wondering if anyone knows what this is?

Probably a type of cyano groeth....

Yep, just some kind of weird algae. There are tons of different type. Just scrub it off with a toothbrush and siphon it out during your next water change.

Water quality is the key with algae.
