Bio-Spira

Can I add this before LR?? Never used it in my smaller tanks, and now I'm setting up a 90 gallon. Just added water yesterday, so it's just the water and CaribSea Aragonite at this point. Should I wait to add the Bio-Spira until I put LR in, or will it be okay with no LR??

I would wait until the LR is added so the bacteria will have more places to attatch themselves. Plus any dieoff from the LR would feed the bacteria. JMO, Skip

yea, the LR will act as the ammonia source for the Bio Spira... you cant just add it to water/substrate ... has to be something in there to feed the Bio Spira bacteria.
