Look at this little devil, found him while scraping using my magnet cleaner/scraper, I was about to seperate the magnets, when i saw something in there other than copepods....

a cool lookin' tan center brittle star the size of a pebble with white arms. He's hella tight. here are a few pics. Enjoy. Third one is to show the details :)

Those are amazing pics. I love the mini brittle stars in my tanks. They're not the easiest thing in the tank to get good pics of though. Awesome job!

Excellent shots Stevan. It's not a baby brittle it's a micro brittle star - that's as big as they get. They reproduce quite nicely in our tanks and are wonderful janitors!

Yes, excellent shots.

I guess the major question here is - Who is willing to send me some brittle stars? I used to have tons of these in my 28 bow before it crashed (due to a hurricane).

I have none and they are awsome! Anyone wanna assist me?

this might sound stupid....but where did the bristle star come from?
was it a hitch hiker or did you buy them?
im very interested in acquiring some of these for my ten gallon....

You'll have them. They'll show up on your rock/sand/corals. Some people will buy them from folks that have a ton in their refugiums. But it's not really necessary.

No way Sugar!

Not paying 25 buxx for 6 itty bitty stars. Id rather have somone here send me like 10 for shipping, plus maybe 5 bux.

btw, anyone want to trade? I have some anthelia I definently need to trim. Taking over my tank.

Sorry to hijack.

yes, it hitch-hiked, but I have no clue where it is now, I got him off my scraper, and it rolled up into a ball so it would fall to the ground, then it headed toward the rocks. It's probably shielded there and feels safe. Perhaps at night it may be wandering about. Very cool though to see this kinda life in there :)

I know I have a bunch in the tanks, I ordered some with a mix and match pack from IPSF a few years ago, and some have hitchiked in with LR and corals. I rarely see them. Sorry Kris, but they're tough to find.

does anybody have an abundience of these little guys....i would like to trade or buy them.
wouldn't be worth it.....the little boogers are too small. No telling if they'd live or not if you took them out. I feel I'd kill them if I handled them. I recently spotted two of them in my tank, but as sugar magnolia says.... I hardly see them.
