Auto top-off for a nanocube?

With the enclosed hood and all, I was wondering if it was possible to use an auto top-off float switch? Anyone currently using one in their cube?

I wondered about the same thing but initially was unable to get any responses. I finally fabricated a bracket to hold my floatswitch in the front area of the tank, it was held by one of the screws that holds the cover on the lights. It worked well but the bottom part of the floatswitch was visible in the nanocube which I didn't really like. I figure I can always put it on if I will be away for several days just for peace of mind but I haven't really seen the need for an auto top-off so far. HTH, Skip

I don't have a cube, so I can't give any specific advice, but from looking at them I would think it would be very easy to drill a small hole in the lid to run your wiring for the switch, and the airline tube to run the water into the tank, then just glue an acrylic bracket to hold the switch wherever you want it.

I would think you could put the floatswitch behind the back wall of the cube in the filter area. I'll see if I can find it, I saw a guy that put a float switch on his nano cube, why I have a few float switches(still gettin around to it:)

Yeah, that is what I was wondering as well. It would be nice and hidden back in the filter area. Maybe Cameron will have some input if he sees this thread.
