I was thinking of making a wet dry filter but the catch is I want to build one in tank kinda like the JBJ Cubes are but I want to do it in a normal 10gal glass tank but I am not sure how to set it up of course I know there would need to be a false back on the tank but as far as the rest of the set up goes I am lost so if anyone has done this please share your ideas and thoughts with me it would be greatly appreciated thank you.

Ive seen a couple of these done before...here is one http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.p ... false+wall

If you just want to hide you heater/pump, etc you could go for something like this (all the way down on the end of post) http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.p ... =74342&hl=

Here is a 20L http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.p ... =69825&hl=

These "false wall" fuges usually work best on long tanks, like say a 20L...IMO. In a tank 10 gallons or less i wouldnt suggest it...it takes up too much space...unless you only want 5 gallons or so for your main tank.

Where does the water spray out of the spraybar? Does it come from all around the refugium area or just one end or what? Does it work well the way it is designed or do you see a need to make a change? Thank you.

i have 25 or so holes drilled in the pipe in dif directions on all three sides - suround sound. The pump is quite large for a 20 (15 display) - i think 400gph??? so i have no need for powerheads in the tank. I love the flow pattern and the general concept but when I do my 40L I'm going to incorporate some baffles for a sponge, carbon chamber, skimmer comp., and a true fuge area, and a few other ideas i'm thinking on right now. But as far as simple and effective - it works very well.

another dumb question How to do you get the baffle tight against the walls and still make past the trim on the tank I am thinking about doing this to my 5.5 gal since I dont plan on keeping any fish just corals so room isnt needed but I would like to get all the exces out of the main tank and out of sight but dont have room for the over flow and sump and my HOB refuigm isnt doing it for me just looks tacky with the heater sticking out of the back of a HOB Filter and really dont see where it was doing me any justice. has any one ever attempted this in a 5.5 gal ?
