Hi Guys,

Are these corals ok for a 12G nano tank? (I will have 96 watts of power in it)

LPS;
Acropora Coral
Porites Coral

SPS;
Candy Cane
Hammer Coral

SOFT;
Finger / Devils Hand
Kenya Tree
Yellow Polyps
Lots of colorfull Zoas

Thanks,

Eric

I would NOT suggest the Acros and Porites as those are high-light SPS. SPS in general are not a good choice for the nano cubes because they lack the stability and high light needed.

The LPS you listed are good choices (Candys and Hammers), as are the softies.

Side question. I thought kenya tree grew pretty fast? While not making it a bad choice, just not a great one. Or do I have this mixed up with another softy?

my "kenya tree" stays less then 6" tall but there are many things called kenya tree
IMO though leathers like the devils hand do get to big, the yellow figi leather tends to stay smaller, is prettier, and is a better choice for a nano but still is quite large unless it is to be the center piece

Here is a few more I could add to the list of posable Corals

Donut Coral
Finger Coral (Devils hand)
Yellow Gorgonian

Would these Corals work well in Nano?

Thanks,

Eric

No gorgonians... we dont know much about them and dont seem to do well in the long term in captivity.
