Aquarium water

Was just wondering what you guys thought of getting water from public aquariums? I just found out that The Seattle Aquarium sells UVA filtered natural salt water for 5 cents a gallon. What's the best way of switching to a new water source? Small, gradual water changes until the old water's been dilluted out?

If I were going to switch over thats what I would do, just use it for regular water changes. I would also get a couple of dedicated containers that aren't used for anything else. Make sure that they are approved as food safe, containers made for water storage would be great (make sure they're marked as saltwater use though).

Yep nice and steady. I have two 5 gallon (food safe water containers) that will be for pre-made water. Just make sure to aerate it again and get it warmed up.

Nice thing about having a small tank is that i can do the drip line method to do my water change. Today I switched to Kent salt water from my LFS, and basically filled up a one gallon water jug and hung it above my tank with a drip line with multiple loops. It took a while, but i think it gave time for my inhabitants to get used to it, and to reach equilibruim with my existing water. My friend said I was giving my tank an IV drip lol
