Hi there Stuart again ,i am almost sure i am going to get an aquapod 24 ,saw a great deal on e-bay for 160 + i can pick it up in phoenix and not pay fght. I also see where you can mod the lighting for a good price if needed , on that website that specializes in that. We just love the look the nano-pods give you, and finding space and furniture to put it on seems easy for our home with 2 cats and 2 small dogs. If any of you think i am making a mistake please help me out and give me your thoughts, your honest opinion would be appreciated . Thanks Stuart

Stuart,

I'm not too familiar with the aquapod but I know both mikeguerrero and edgray may still have their nano cubes for sale. But I just remembered Mikes has a 6 and Ed's a 12.... I'd look at the forum and do a little research on how each individual modified their tank and see what works for you. Keep us posted on what you end up with and why. Always good to get an individuals opinion on what made the determining factor on their choice. Have fun....

I enjoy my 12G Aquapod thoroughly, very easy maintenance and yea... I put an extra fan into the stock hood because it was a tad warm. The 24 has about a 20 gallon display area with 4 behind for the filter stuff and pump. However over all i love the thing! Plus cant beat a good price like that. Just make sure that there are no scratches or all that jazz. Any other questions about it?

I have an Aquapod 24 and am quite happy with it. Plus I paid $65 (Demo unit from LFS).

I as well added an additional fan (put some innertube between both pieces of plastic to reduce vibration noise).

I'll have to post some pics soon as it's been up for a while and everything is doing well. The only issue with my AP is that I had to remove the lid in the front of the main lid (a feeding lid so to speak) as my tank would get quite warm with it closed all the time. I get more evaporation, but better temp control (and I live in a cool climate so it's a bit odd).

$160 is a good price to pay in my opinion.
